Demand for Open Practice Version 8 continues.
Following the release of the latest version of Open Practice from GlobalX Legal Solutions (GlobalX) last year, 50 Australian law firms have already gone live with Version 8.
The practice management solution from GlobalX continues to win business due to a depth and breadth of functionality that extends beyond alternatives to integrate online search, national settlement and local support services in a single package.
“We are excited to see such strong demand for Open Practice 8 and to offer a solution that integrates with our online search platform and national conveyancing and legal support service network,” said GlobalX Legal Solutions Chief Executive Officer, Peter Maloney.
GlobalX Legal Solutions invested more than 2 million dollars and 15,000 man-hours research and development in the latest version of Open Practice to deliver Australia’s law firms with an intuitive and integrated practice management software solution.
“Our practice management solution, Open Practice, is developed in collaboration with customers and alongside complementary industry solutions available from GlobalX. This process means we offer the most refined and deeply integrated, end-to-end industry solutions,” said Mr Maloney.
Coleman Greig first implemented Open Practice in 2002 and upgraded to Version 8 in October.
“Coleman Greig has relied on GlobalX Legal Solutions’ Open Practice software for over 13 years, during which time our firm has grown to become Western Sydney’s leading law firm and recognised nationally for our outstanding client service delivery,” said General Manager, Warrick McLean.
“Throughout the partnership, GlobalX has encouraged Coleman Greig’s active involvement in the development of Open Practice, so we look forward to future developments – most notably the mobility solution and PEXA integration that will enable the hybrid model of electronic and manual conveyancing later this year.”
The next major release of Open Practice will facilitate a hybrid conveyancing model later this year, with deep integration to PEXA facilitating electronic conveyancing and traditional, paper-based conveyancing options via GlobalX’s national settlement network.
“GlobalX continues to work with customers, innovators and industry bodies such as PEXA to ensure Australia’s lawyers and conveyancers maintain access to new innovations now and in the future to support their productivity and effectiveness,” said Mr Maloney.
“The roll out of electronic conveyancing in Australia represents a massive change for the industry. GlobalX will support customers through this change with the option to select to process a settlement electronically, or in a traditional, paper-based format,” he said.
“Our customer focus and industry experience means customers benefit from not only a comprehensive range of solutions, but the backing of a local team of product experts and professional services to ensure continuity for their firm,” continued Peter Maloney.
As an official PEXA Sponsor, GlobalX Legal Solutions will be among the first organisations to facilitate electronic conveyancing in Australia via its complete suite of productivity solutions and services that include practice management software, information search and legal support and settlement services.
60 firms across Australia are set to be using Version 8 by the end of February.
