The Construction and Real Estate Award, sponsored by event partner GlobalX, recognises two high performing individuals with technical expertise and commercial acumen in Australia’s property law sector.

GlobalX CEO Peter Maloney said Rachel Richardson and Louise Young demonstrated commitment and dedication to the profession, something that is highly regarded in the industry.

“The Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards showcase the best and brightest young professionals in the legal sector and I am encouraged by the emerging talent we’ve seen in this competition,” Mr Maloney said.

“It’s important to recognise the amazing work of young professionals and these awards truly demonstrate the calibre of people working in the industry.”

The Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards recognise young professionals across 15 categories of law including those working in family, insurance, intellectual property, banking and finance, and property and construction law.

Lawyers Weekly features editor Emma Ryan said the awards gave emerging professionals a chance to demonstrate their contribution to, and impact on, the business in which they work.

“The Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 awards identify the best young lawyers across Australia who are striving for professional excellence within their specific practice areas,” Ms Ryan said.

“With so many talented young lawyers achieving great things for the sector, we are proud to support the leaders of tomorrow and honour their achievements in front of colleagues, friends and family.”

Award winner Rachel Richardson said the recognition was humbling and unexpected.

“It was a very exciting experience to be named in the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30,” she said.

“The Awards provide a fantastic opportunity for us to come together as a profession to celebrate our achievements and those of our peers.”

Dual recipient winner Louise Young said she was delighted to see such an amazing project receive the recognition of the profession.
