GlobalX partners with the Australian Growth Company Awards

GlobalX has today announced its sponsorship of the Australian Growth Company Awards, committing to support the awards for the next three years.

The Australian Growth Company Awards, hosted by global law firm K&L Gates, recognise the achievements of companies in the mid-market that are experiencing high growth and have contributed to the innovation, sustainability and integrity of communities.

Nominations for the awards open on 3 July, 2017 and offer prizes across nine categories, including a new category this year called ‘Company to Watch’.

GlobalX CEO Peter Maloney said he looked forward to celebrating high-achieving businesses across the country through GlobalX’s sponsorship of the awards.

“It’s always exciting to watch emerging and fast-growing Australian businesses, and GlobalX is proud to be encouraging and celebrating this growth alongside them,” Mr Maloney said.

“As a CEO, I understand the hard work that goes into running a business and it really is a team effort, from graduate-level employees to the executive team.”

“I look forward to being part of an awards ceremony that recognises the work of the whole team and celebrates the well-deserved results they’ve earned.”

Launched by K&L Gates in 2012, the Australian Growth Company Award winners will be decided by a panel of industry, with the awards ceremony taking place in Sydney on 25 October, 2017.

GlobalX will be joining a group of industry-leading sponsors, including Deloitte, 2020 Exchange and Macquarie.

K&L Gates partner Nick Humphrey welcomed GlobalX’s sponsorship of the awards and said they were a valuable opportunity for businesses to raise their public profile.

“In an increasingly competitive market, we believe it’s important to recognise Australian businesses that are achieving great things, while also driving innovation and committing to the principles of sustainability and integrity,” Mr Humphrey said.

“I encourage all eligible businesses to enter the awards, as the recognition that comes with winning or being shortlisted can attract potential investors and help generate new business leads.”

Previous award winners have included fantastic companies such as Employsure Pty Ltd, Blackmores Limited and Green’s Food Holdings Pty Ltd and we are proud that the program has grown into the pre-eminent awards for Australia’s mid-market businesses and innovators.”

Applications will close on 31 August and nominations will be assessed by a panel of expert judges. An official gala function announcing winners will be held on 25 October at The Ivy Ballroom.
