Leading national law firm Mills Oakley is reaping the benefits of integration and interoperability between multiple systems, thanks to new advancements in legal technology that are driving operational growth.
The 96-partner strong firm of more than 650 staff is one benefactor of a recent integration announcement by legal technology provider GlobalX and cloud-based document and email management platform, NetDocuments, which is delivering clients efficiency, security, and collaboration solutions across its global cloud service.
In addition to providing regulatory information documents directly to NetDocuments, integration for ordering and billing occurs between GlobalX and practice management software Lexis Affinity, allowing its clients to access to more than 2,000 regulatory information searches from within their working matters.
GlobalX CEO Peter Maloney said that integration was crucial for many clients, with Mills Oakley a prime example of a firm reaping the benefits of three integrated technology solutions.

Lexis Affinity Product Manager David Atherton-Cooper said the comprehensive practice management software offered a complete solution for Australia’s leading law firms.
“Our clients are constantly seeking productivity improvements for their staff and in their processes. Integration with providers like GlobalX helps achieve this,” Mr Atherton-Cooper said.
