GlobalX was proud to sponsor the 2021 Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards for the fifth consecutive year in a row.
The 30 Under 30 Awards took place on Friday June 11th and honoured some of the best and brightest emerging leaders across Australia’s legal profession. These awards sought to recognise and celebrate these young legal professionals for their myriad of accomplishments over the past year – and GlobalX proudly sponsored two major award categories: Real Estate and Commercial.
This year, Clayton Utz’s Dennis Mak and Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office Lauren Walley have been named this year’s 30 Under 30 Awards category winners, taking out the top commercial and real estate accolade at the annual award ceremony.
Achieving 30 Under 30 status offers the foundation for career progression, providing industry-wide recognition for professional competency while highlighting a passion for the law and dedication for personal advancement.
This year, 656 submissions were received across 30 categories, with 283 selected as finalists and 30 ultimately leaving the event as winners.
GlobalX Chief Customer Officer Rafe Berding said Dennis Mak and Lauren Walley have demonstrated high calibre and commitment in their field amongst peers.
“I wish to congratulate all winners and finalists for their outstanding work. It is these achievements that show a bright future for the legal profession,” Mr Berding said.
“We believe it is incredibly important to invest in the industry through award programs like this,and recognise the hard work of lawyers across all areas of law.
“Not only is this event an opportunity to celebrate outstanding legal practice, but it is also a chance for attendees to meet with industry leaders,” Mr. Berding continued.
