Digital partnership promotes next generation technology

GlobalX has today been named the official Digital Partner of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers’ (AIC National) Electronic Conveyancing Accreditation (ECA) training program, which helps conveyancers and solicitors prepare for the arrival of electronic settlements.

As part of the partnership GlobalX will support the national industry body to provide on-going training, resources and support.

GlobalX CEO Peter Maloney said the workshops provide legal practitioners and conveyancers with the skills and knowledge to perform a Property Exchange Australia (PEXA) transaction, including advice on the legal and regulatory obligations of users.

“As each state government moves to mandate electronic conveyancing, it is essential that the industry is ready and prepared for this change,” he said.

“These workshops really are essential for building confidence using the new system, and GlobalX is proud to support the AIC in educating the industry on the technology of tomorrow.”

As part of the training, delegates are taken through a mock, hands on transfer with financial settlement, lodge a caveat and prepare a linked settlement, in a safe and interactive training environment.

“Like many traditionally paper-based industries, the move to an online system is becoming an increasingly popular option for both professionals and vendors, and is definitely the way of the future,” Mr Maloney said.

Australian Institute of Conveyancers, National President Ms Santina Taranto said that the digital partnership would provide practitioners with the opportunity to stay informed about the latest technology in the property industry.

“We’re expecting the demand for e-Conveyancing to grow significantly in the next few years,” Ms Taranto said.

“As the peak industry body for specialist conveyancers, we’re committed to leading industry through this transition phase and in keeping up to date with this kind of cutting-edge technology.”

“Through this digital partnership with GlobalX, we’ll be able to offer comprehensive e-Conveyancing training, which will allow practitioners to meet the demands of their clients for online property settlement.”

The workshops are suitable for conveyancers, legal practitioners and support staff. Register here for New South Wales or Victoria.
